Counting Down

We have less than 10 days left of our school year.  Amazing.  The year has flown by.  Seems like just yesterday I was sleeping on the roof.

We are still hard at work here, academics as usual and finishing up our MAP testing.  We have seen great growth in our students this year and hope you see it also.  I was just able to do fluency testing yesterday with first grade and it was so fun to see them reading.  Amazing the change from when I tested them in September.

We have a lot on the calendar in the next two weeks.  Here are the items families need to know about:
Tuesday, May 30, 6:15 MGMS – Community Ed @ Woodland theater performance of A Pirate’s Life.
Wednesday, May 31 – 4th and 5th grade iPad return
Thursday, June 1, 5:30 – 4 Star Celebration
Tuesday, June 6, 10:00 – 5th grade DARE graduation/Commencement
Wednesday, June 7 – All School BBQ and Super Kids Day
Thursday, June 8 – Last student day

We still need volunteers for DARE Graduation and Super Kids Day.  If you can help out contact Amy Titus at 763-315-6400 or titusa@district279.org.

This is a fun but anxious time for our kids.  Give them lots of pep talks and love so they can finish strong.
