Unity Day

What a great day we had last Wednesday.  Our anti-bullying Unity Day was filled with positive messages, community building, and a lot of cold water.  Our classrooms each made stepping stones to show our unity.  They will be on display in our courtyard so we can remember the important message Unity Day sends.  A perfect connection to our theme:  STEP UP.

We also took a new school picture, thanks to the support of Woodland’s PTO.  Here it is.  Love these shots.

The cold water was a little more personal.  The students got to watch me be dunked in the dunk tank.  Thankfully the temperature outside of the water was really nice.  But the water was straight out of the outside faucet.  (Not really nice.)  Mrs. Frisch’s class earned the honor to try and dunk me as well as our superstar fundraisers.  They were pretty accurate, I think I climbed out of the water a dozen times or so.  It was great fun and well worth the water in my ears.

Upcoming Events

The events keep coming at Woodland.  Remember that tomorrow is picture day, Friday, October 27.  And we love to get together as a community and have fun.  One of our best events for that is right around the corner, Turkey Bingo.  That will happen on Friday, November 10th.  Put it on your calendar, you don’t want to miss it.
